Runs and versions
Understand the execution record and immutable versions that make intelligent systems explainable and reversible.
A run is one execution of an agent or workflow. It records the input, relevant context, tool calls, outputs, status, time, and cost. A trace is the detailed timeline inside that run.
A version is an immutable definition of an agent, workflow, or ontology. New work can be tested as a draft, evaluated against the current version, and promoted deliberately. Runs retain the version they started with, so changing an agent later does not rewrite its history.
This separation makes rollback practical: choose the prior known-good version, promote it, and use the affected runs to investigate the regression.
